  • Grey Sands Malbec bottle
    Deep red in colour, this wine has rich aromas of ripe mulberries, plum tart and fine oak.                                                                                                                               The palate has layers of dark fruit, cocoa and spicy oak, finishing with mouth-coating tannins adding to the persistence of this powerful wine. A great wine to pair with the richest of red meat dishes now, with a long cellaring life ahead.

    Mid-red with garnet hue, the nose shows ripe red cherry and dried herb aromas. The palate starts with sweet berry fruit, but some drying tannins give a more savoury finish. A good food wine to partner duck or quail. This Pinot Noir is in a different style to our usual Grey Sands label, due to different weather conditions during this vintage. It is made from the same grapes as all our vintages, so the differences are purely down to the season
  • Grey Sands 2014 The Mattock bottle
    Blend of Merlot (60%), Malbec (30%) and Cabernet Franc (10%). Deep red with purple hue, this wine has some complexity already on the nose, ripe red and black berries with savoury notes of pencil shavings, black pepper and toasted oak. A mid weight palate, good fruit, moderate tannins with plenty of length, makes this fine drinking at present but with more rewards ahead for those with cellars.
