Mid straw in colour, this wine has an exotic blend of peach, pear and floral gardenia perfume. The palate shows medium body, fresh white summer fruit tempered by a dry and distinctively aromatic finish.
Byzantine is a style of art and architecture derived from the Eastern Roman Empire, that survived the fall of Rome when the capitol was moved to Byzantium (then renamed Constantinople, now Istanbul).
Our “Byzantine” wine is a blend of Chardonnay, Viognier and Malvasia.
Malvasia, the vine variety, has derived from the ancient port city of Monembasia in southern Greece. Malvasia has spread around the shores and islands of the Mediterranean.
