Mid straw in colour. The nose shows delicate glace pineapple and nectarine aromas.
The palate expands with dense grippy flavours and some lively acidity leading to a long dry finish.
This wine may develop a natural deposit over time.

Winsor Dobbin 4.10.21 –
Bob and Rita Richter do things a little differently at Grey Sands, their vineyard at Glengarry in northern Tasmania. All vines are hand tended, hand pruned and the fruit is dry grown and hand picked. They have also planted many “alternative” grape varieties and let the wines speak of their terroir. Wines are only released when they are ready. If you are looking for idiosyncratic, then you have come to the right place. This is a blend of chardonnay, viognier and malvasia bianca that shone when paired with spicy chicken skewers. It has chardonnay characters to the fore with some interesting glazed fruit notes and textural grip. Long, dry and delightful.

With some 17 different wine grape varieties planted on their Glengarry site, Rita and Bob Richter are well equipped to craft interesting, ageworthy table wines that reflect the uniqueness of their Tamar Valley vineyard. Now four years of age, this quirky mix of Chardonnay, Viognier and Malvasia opens with ripe/tropical, almost mango aromas and the barest hint of oak. A quick swirl in the glass brings forth a harmonious mix of similar mango, stone fruit and tropical flavours, trimmed by neat acidity and food-friendly texture.
