  • Grey Sands 2015 Byzantine bottle
Pale gold in colour, the nose shows delicate aromas of white melon, glace fruit and dried apricot. The palate is taut with nectarine fruit, fresh acidity and a slight citrus peel astringency, leaving a clean, dry finish.
  • Grey Sands Romanesque 2015 bottle
A blend of late ripening spicy red varieties. Deep red with purple hue, this wine has a sweet aroma of ripe mulberry fruit, dried citrus peel and some toffee oak. The palate has more savoury fruit, lightly spiced with some black pepper and star anise notes. There is good length of fruit with some drying tannins to finish.
  • Grey Sands Malbec bottle
Deep red in colour, this wine has rich aromas of ripe mulberries, plum tart and fine oak.                                                                                                                               The palate has layers of dark fruit, cocoa and spicy oak, finishing with mouth-coating tannins adding to the persistence of this powerful wine. A great wine to pair with the richest of red meat dishes now, with a long cellaring life ahead.
  • Grey Sands 2009 Merlot bottle
Deep red in colour, this wine has rich aromas of ripe mulberries, plum tart and fine oak.                                                                                                                               The palate has layers of dark fruit, cocoa and spicy oak, finishing with mouth-coating tannins adding to the persistence of this powerful wine. A great wine to pair with the richest of red meat dishes now, with a long cellaring life ahead.
  • Grey Sands pinot-noir-07-Label Grey Sands pinot noir 07 bottle
Medium red in colour, the nose shows warm aromas of redcurrant and red cherry with a hint of strawberry. On the palate, the ripe red fruit characters are tempered by plenty of soft, savoury tannins. Cellaring will further soften these tannins and enhance the perfume.
  • Grey Sands pinot-noir-10-label Grey Sands pinot-noir-10 bottle
Mid red with garnet hue. The nose shows delicate red fruit aromas, dusty oak and the ethereal pinot perfume. The palate has sweet upfront fruit but finishes dry and savoury showing its tight structure. An understated wine that has all the hallmarks of a good food wine. NB: This wine has developed a harmless deposit of tartrate crystals. In some instances these have aggregated and formed floccules. These will quickly settle to the bottom of the bottle....just pour the last glass carefully!
  • Grey Sands 2013 Pinot Noir bottle
Mid red with garnet hue. The nose shows delicate red fruit aromas, dusty oak and the ethereal pinot perfume. The palate has sweet upfront fruit but finishes dry and savoury showing its tight structure. An understated wine that has all the hallmarks of a good food wine. • Grey Sands pinot-gris-13-label Grey Sands pinot-gris-2013 bottle
Mid straw in colour, the nose has an exotic mix of peach, papaya and tropical florals. The palate is expansive and full bodied with lush fruit and spicy aromatics providing a very long finish. A full-bodied, 'Alsatian style' Pinot Gris.
  • Grey Sands Blanc de Noir label Grey Sands Blanc de Noir
A white wine made from Pinot Noir grapes. Deep straw with glowing apricot hue, the nose has a gentle wild rose and cherry blossom scent. In contrast, the palate has a sweet fruit core, mouth-filling, textural and harmonious, leading to a long dry finish. Made in the same way as all our white wine; whole bunch pressed to old French oak barrels, indigenous yeast ferment then nine months lees contact before bottling. Pretty simple really! This wine may form a natural deposit so stand upright for approx 30 mins before pouring & pour the last glass carefully.
  • Grey Sands Pinot Blanc 2017 Grey Sands Pinot Blanc
Mid straw with green highlights, the nose shows lifted lime blossom and honeydew aromas. The palate has dense fruit, hinting at spicy apple pie and greengage plum which leaves along aromatic finish. This wine may have a harmless crystal deposit..stand upright for approx half an hour before pouring & pour the last glass with care.
  • Grey Sands 2015 Pinot Gris label Grey Sands 2015 Pinot Gris bottle
Mid straw in colour, the nose is met by rich aromas of crystallized pineapple, custard apple and a lily of valley floral lift. The palate is full bodied with deep ripe fruit, dense texture and some ginger and quince astringency to balance on a very long finish.
  • Grey Sands 2014 The Mattock bottle
Blend of Merlot (60%), Malbec (30%) and Cabernet Franc (10%). Deep red with purple hue, this wine has some complexity already on the nose, ripe red and black berries with savoury notes of pencil shavings, black pepper and toasted oak. A mid weight palate, good fruit, moderate tannins with plenty of length, makes this fine drinking at present but with more rewards ahead for those with cellars.
